Yesterday I went on my first social outing to an enrichment activity. I feel fairly certain that the longest conversation I held was 2o seconds and that I slurred my words. I stayed home today.
That's hilarious. I remember feeling that way several times...babies are just intensely stressful and to add an older child to that must be insane. We just had a St Patrick's Day party with in-laws and I realized that my husband is just not capable of having any more kids. He can't deal with the noise. At all.
I thought you did very well! You looked fabulous and Jared is ADORABLE. I say you can now rest and not worry about going out again for a long time if you want to. Unless you want some cupcakes -- I'm pretty sure there are plenty left over from that event. Maybe the ladies will deliver them?
I can totally relate. My son is almost 2 and I still have the same problem now and then. My aunt used to tell me she thought women would lose a handful of braincells each time she had a kid. If that's the case I had better quit.
Hey Autumn! I can't believe I found your blog. I am not sure how I even connected to it, but cool! How are you? I am adding you to my list so we can keep in touch. I hope all is well. Congrats on your darling new baby. Love, Holly
Autumn, Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog-especially with you just having had a baby. I have loved searching everyones blogs trying to find the next person to add to my list. I too feel like my speech is slurred and my sentences don't make sense. I wish I had an excuse-not that I'm trying to get pregnant, but that I sound silly and can't blame it on pregnancy. Take care and take some time off life to enjoy the new baby.

ReplyDeleteThanks for always making me laugh. I can relate to every single moment!

ReplyDeleteI get that way and I don't have the excuse of just having had a baby!
ReplyDeleteI say enjoy the built-in excuse to stay home as long as you can! And soon you'll have Jasmine there and she can be your translator!! :)
ReplyDeleteWow, that's great. I don't think I left the house for 3 months! So yes, a very very good try. :)
