I've figured it out. The reason why people can live in Seattle is because there is approximately four star bucks for every adult. It's awesome. Hence the following scene.It's yet another stormy day, for three days Autumn and her sister have been staring at downpours and cloudy skies.
Jasmine (Sister): What do you want to do?
Autumn: I don't care, maybe we can go to Starbucks and get a carmel apple cider.
Jasmine: Okay, they are really good. Sounds good to me.
Autumn: Awesome, I love the rain, it's beautiful and soooo green.
Repeat four times.
My trip so far has been fun. Jasmine's new baby, Ryder, is absolutely gorgeous and is such a good, mellow baby I'm having a hard time believing he is real. This is where I would love to post a picture of me with Ryder, but I forgot to pack my camera. I'm honestly surprised I made it here without losing my luggage and/or my daughter let alone my camera. It's best if I don't brag about this right now as I still have to make it home.
On a much sadder and nervous note, we are eagerly awaiting some test results to see if my mom has thyroid cancer. She's already had one surgery and we are hoping and praying that is all she will need to have. Mom, our prayers are with you!
In other news: Sean closed on our house. We are officially home owners! Rock on.
Oh how I love the non-coffee drinks at Starbucks!

If you need some variety at Starbucks, might I suggest my favorite (I pretend it is guilt-free but I really don't know if that is true) "guilt-free" beverage that is perfect right before boarding a chilly plane: "grande no fat vanilla creme with no whip." You can say it just like that. It is basically steamed milk that tastes like a hot vanilla milk shake which may or may not appeal to you but I love that it makes me a bit sleepy right before a flight (even though I never sleep on planes). It is my comfort drink.

Being a Washingtonian myself, I can fill you in an another odd phenomenon... If you go to Olympia, you find the same thing except that it is a Subway every four blocks. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the caramel apple cider myself. I have been working on re-creating at home... Make apple cider, add some caramel (ice cream topping), a little half and half (don't overdo it) and top it with whip cream.

I am so excited for you guys to be home owners. I can't wait for that, hopefully we will be in a home by Thanksgiving. Let me know where you are moving to. I'm sorry to hear about your mom. My prayers are with you and your family.
